Dynamics of Quantum matter

We explore non-equilibrium many-body dynamics in quantum systems that experience symmetry-breaking, topological, or jamming transitions. These systems encompass superconductors, charge-density wave, and magnetic materials.

Experimental Soft Matter Physics

The research is conducted within the “Light and Matter” research program. The interaction of light with matter is one of the most important fields of physics and optical processes are indispensable in many branches of modern industry.

Chirality and Magnetism: First General Workshop of COST Action Chiromag

April 5, 2025

We are excited to share that our department successfully hosted the First General Workshop of the COST Action Chiromag. The event took place at the scenic Hotel Špik in Gozd Martuljek, Slovenia, from March 31 to April 4, 2025. Researchers from across Europe gathered to explore the latest advancements in chiral magnetic states and discuss future directions for integrating chirality and magnetism. The workshop underscored the potential of these states in information processing and storage technologies. Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Upper Sava Valley, the venue fostered an inspiring environment for scientific dialogue and collaboration. The program included general presentations to introduce newcomers to the field, as well as specialized talks. Special attention was given to presenting facilities available through the COST network. We are grateful to all participants for their contributions and enthusiasm. For more information about the COST Action Chiromag, visit the dedicated webpage: COST Action Chiromag.
