MetaQuantM-2026 conference in Cargèse, France

Members of our department, together with the colleagues from France and the USA, have organized and attended MetaQuantM-2026: Creation and Manipulation of New States of Metastable Quantum Matter, a summer school and conference held August 17–29, 2026 in Cargèse, France. Prof. Dr. Dragan Mihailović served as chair, with Igor Vaskivskyi and Nataša Kutnjak as co-organizers. The event is a successor to the long-running ECRYS and IMPACT series. It has gathered more than 100 researchers working on non-equilibrium and ultrafast control of quantum materials, covering topics from charge order and superconductivity to topological matter, 2D materials, and quantum optics.
